Name & Identity: The
name Yllume
(pronounced ee-loom) was inspired by the fact that its products illuminate
one's skin. The 'y' was used instead of an 'i' to make it more
sophisticated and memorable. Yllume
uses new
skin technology in its products and therefor needed to look modern.
As it was launching at the top
end of the
market,
a rich metalic
purple
was
used in
combination
with
a
soft
skin
colour
on the packaging and website.

and the illumination concept

Stationery: A
gradient of the skin colour was used to give the soft illuminating
effect

Packaging: The
design was kept clean and simple with the focus being on the brand and
the contents.
The gradient from the stationary was carried through onto the packaging.

The menu and buttons used a 'glow' effect and the 'illuminating' gradient of

colour

used
again.
